In Melton Summer Pool League, Division One leaders Monkey Magic heaped more misery on the winless Duke, beating them 8-1.

Thunders ran out 8-1 winners over The Welby, and Martin McQuade led the charge in We Don’t Play There Anymore’s 7-2 victory over the Fulderiks.

Chalk is Cheap kept the pressure in second place as they beat second-bottom Conkerers 7-2, and Craig Newbold’s hat-trick was the difference in Arr Boy’s 6-3 win over Timmy’s Stick.

* In Division Two, Tom Corr’s hat-trick ensured Red Hot Chilli Potters stayed top after a 6-3 win over bottom team Polish Club SL15.

Paul Jepson was man-of-the-match for Swanderers as second-placed Pop Ya Cherry were beaten 6-3, and Eaton YM’s 5-4 win over the Crown ensured both teams shared fifth spot.

Olly’s Army’s 5-4 win over Janet Noels Best took them one point above the relegation zone, but left their opponents in it.

* Half Cut soared up to third place in Division Three as Alan Davies’ treble inspired an 8-1 win over Rock Out With Your Chalk Out.

Leaders Young Guns saw off Notorious TIB 6-3, but only two points separates top spot and fifth. Pool Boyz stayed in contention after a 6-3 win over Crazy Gang, and You Shall Not Pot made it four straight wins as they edged Phoenix Knights 5-4.

I Smell a Re-Rack grabbed a much-needed 5-4 win after two losses, beating Welby Wanderers.

* In Division Four, We Are Solids Right! thrashed the winless Con Merchants, 8-1, and See You Next Tuesday went level on points with leaders Burton Street Preachers after pipping them 5-4.

After a difficult month, Noels365 got back on the winners podium, beating The Generous Amigos of Briton 5-4, and Beedies Bitches edged MSC Elite, 5-4, to move within touching distance of top spot with a game in hand.

* Our Drinking Team Has a Pool Problem beat Cue Chaos 6-3 in Division Five thanks to Pat Riddell’s treble.

Both Josh Northing and Ralph Earnshaw scored hat-tricks as Gambler’s Anonymous beat Bears on Powder, 6-3, and Deaf Lads Pool reclaimed top spot with a 5-4 win over Cue Up.

Crown Jewels have dropped out of the league, and all points from their matches will be removed.
