He is gearing up towards his debut season in the MG Cup, a dedicated championship for any type of MGs.

In Class A, he will go up against MG ZRs along with MGFs, MGBs and MG ZS at the UK’s top circuits, including Brands Hatch, Oulton Park and Donington Park.

Sharpe has just returned from a successful day of testing at Donington where he posted a 1min 28.41secs lap time around the National circuit, a time good enough for pole position last year.

“Over the winter, the car has been transformed with a change of livery and looks very striking,” he said.

“We have just come back from a test at Donington and we managed to beat the pole time from last year, so things are looking good.

“We now have just over a month until the first race and I can’t wait!

“It’s great to have the support from all my sponsors Clifton Garage and Wayside Adhesives.com, and thanks also to the MG CUP, as they have welcomed me with open arms.”

The season gets under way at the Leicestershire circuit on Sunday, April 9 and you can follow Henry’s progress via the championship website mgcup.com
