The Stute went five points clear at the top of Melton Winter Pool League Division One thanks to an 8-1 thrashing of the Swanderers.

With MSC A now 12 points clear of third place, the title hunt has become a two-horse race after they defeated the Welby 6-3.

Noels BBs recorded a 6-3 victory over the Fulderiks, ensuring they keep themselves firmly in third place, while Armee Pere earned themselves a much-needed win after three successive losses, beating the Conkerers 6-3.

The Royal Duke continue to struggle as they slipped to a 6-3 loss at the hands of the Cherry Tree, and The Thunders piled yet more misery on Boys and Their Toy’s season as they beat the bottom side 5-4.

* In Division Two, third-placed Pop Ya Cherry kept their name in the promotion frame by hammering Legion B 8-1.

You Shall Not Pot are just two points ahead in second place despite a 6-3 win over My Swans Are Sick.

Royally Screwed managed to drag themselves out of relegation danger after beating the Saddle 6-3, while bottom side Notorious TIB beat fellow strugglers MSC Elite in a 5-4 win.

Phoenix Knights made it two wins in a row after the beat Ingall’s Idiots 5-4, and leaders Harboro Cadabra kept a decent gap of 13 points at the top of as they beat Janet Noels Best 5-4.
