Competition was tight in the Melton Pool Summer League with all games bar one ending 5-4 in Division One.

Monkey Magic held on to top spot after beating the Fulderiks, while the Conkerers got a much-needed win over the Thunders. Arr Boy ran out winners against We Don’t Play There Anymore, and the Welby kept their noses out of the relegation zone after beating Timmy’s Stick.

* In Division Two, Swanderers are a point behind the league leaders after hat-tricks from Mark Wardle and Paul Jepson earned a 7-2 win over Janet Noels Best.

But Red Hot Chilli Potters hung on to the top spot for another week despite a 6-3 defeat to Armee Pere. The Crown won their first game in a month, beating Polish Club SL15 6-3, and Eaton YM are third after a third straight win, overcoming Pop Ya Cherry 6-3.

After a fine 6-3 win over Pool Boyz, Young Guns are six points clear at the top, while Johnny Wydra grabbed a treble as You Shall Not Pot racked up their sixth win running, 6-3 against Rock Out With Your Chalk Out.

I Smell a Re-Rack kept Phoenix Knights Youth in the relegation zone after beating them 5-4, and Notorious TIB lifted themselves above the Welby Wanderers by a point after beating them 5-4.

* In Division Four, Con Merchants made it seven losses out of seven after slipping up 7-2 to MSC Elite.
