Melton Old Grammarians Badminton Club begin a series of three open evenings in a bid to attract new and returning players to the sport.

The first takes place tonight from 8-10pm at Long Field Academy and is repeated over the next two Thursdays.

The club will provide rackets and shuttlecocks as well as coaching, but visitors must bring suitable footwear.

The open nights are in addition to the coaching programme the OGs already offers.

Club captain Neil Hunt said: “OGs are the oldest badminton club in Melton and we are proud of our long tradition of encouraging players of all standards to come and experience the friendly culture of our club.”

Anyone interested in going along or needing more details should call club secretary Christine Stanley on (01664) 565292, email christine.s@talktalk.net or visit www.meltonogbc.co.uk
