Students from Melton British Kyokushinkai Karate Club enjoyed success on the national stage last weekend.

The club entered 13 junior and senior members, as well as a team, into the National Clicker Tournament, in Slough to face fighters from around the UK.

Callum Breward and Ellis Nugent won first place in their respective categories, while Zayda Aziz and Miriam Tyler both achieved third position.

Huw Horton just missed out on a trophy with a fourth place finish.

It marked the tournament debut for many of the fighters and all performed well.

MMBKK hold classes in Melton on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings at their Saxby Road dojo.
