Melton Golf Club’s top competitors will head to Lincolnshire on Saturday to battle it out for the final major prize of the season.

The fourth Race to Woodhall Spa final takes place on the prestigious Hotchkin course at the Lincolnshire club which is home to the English Golf Union.

A total of 157 Melton GC members have taken part in a series of qualifiers over the summer with the top 30 going through to a shoot-out for the six places in the final.

Order of Merit winner Brendan Boyce automatically made it through and was joined by defending champion David Poolan, who won the shoot-out, Steve Goddard, 2017 club champion Mick Wilson, Neil Farish and Neil Eaves.

Eaves gained his spot after beating presvious champions Matt Catton and sam Pollard in a play-off.
