Barnstone withstood a late rally from Belvoir Vale to clinch aggregate shot victory in the latest round of the Warren Triples League on Saturday night.

Both teams tried to gain the upper hand early on, but Barnstone had built a 13-shot lead by the halfway mark. Vale fought hard to get back on terms and by the 15th end had closed the gap to just one shot.

But Barnstone came good in the final three ends to take the match, but only with one rink win.

In the other game, Melton Indoor Bowls Club A took control of their clash with Market Overton from the start.

Melton A had only two players on one rink and had to lose a third of their score, but the team still managed to win on all four rinks to claim the match and maximum points.
