Phil Hill and Mark Fox were the latest pair to qualify for September’s Middy Baggin Machine Summer Series Final.
Hill finished sixth at last Wednesday’s qualifier with a bag of 59lb 4oz, taken from peg 11 and with the top five already through, made it through.
The match was won by the in-form Brian Greenbury with 87lb 1oz, taken from peg seven on the canal lake.
Fox took his place with an outright win at Saturday’s qualifying match.
The Derby angler topped a 16-strong field with 96lb 6oz from peg 20 on the river lake, a full 10lb clear of runner-up ken Daws.

* The Greenburys headed a good field of 31 anglers at the Sunday Open match.
Bob won with 112lb 7lb from peg nine on the marina, finishing less than a pound ahead of Brian who netted the golden peg bonus of £120 with his haul, taken from canal’s peg nine.
