A battle royal is expected at the Market Tavern, in Melton, on Saturday when 14 local Assassin Muay Thai boxers go head-to-head with fighters from across the UK, Spain and Norway.
Top of the bill will be Iman ‘Pretty Killer’ Barlow’s latest world title bout against Norwegian Fatima Pinto.
Despite being just 22, Iman is a veteran of 86 senior bouts and 100 junior contests, but will have her work cut out against the IFMA world champion.
Pinto has a reputation as a formidable athlete who has beaten most of the best fighters in the world and now wants to add the WTKA World Muay Thai title.
Meanwhile, Barlow’s fellow Assassin Aliza Agwan will be bidding for her first title against Kacy Day who fights out of the Chaos Gym in Devon.
All of the show’s 18 bouts have been confirmed including eight international clashes.
The action starts at 6pm and doors open at 5.30pm.
Tickets are still available from any Assassin member, Nicko’s Fish Bar, via Iman Barlow at Facebook or by calling (01664) 567491. They will also be available on the door.
* The Assassin team will be fighting all over the world in the aftermath of the Melton show.
Three will be competing in Spain and another will be in Australia, while four weeks’ later another Assassin will be in action in China.
