Ryan Parmar completed a brilliant hat-trick of titles at the 2015 Hamilton Tennis Club Championships with victory in the men’s doubles last week.

Parmar and partner Steve Wallace beat Justin Horobin and Tom Rowe in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4 in a hard-hitting final.

* In the Winter League matches the under 12s boys A team won 4-3 in a very close match against Kibworth.

The team got off to a bad start when Oliver Roberts lost to Kibworth’s top player and James Roberts lost his first set.

But James fought back to win his match on a third set tie-break before Oliver and James edged a close doubles match 6-3, 7-5 to clinch the win.

* The ladies’ third team drew 4-4 with Rothley Ivanhoe Fourths which was a welcome result after two narrow defeats.

Eileen Merrison and Pat Woolston won three sets, while Jill Woods with Dee Adams took one set to secure the draw.
