Hamilton Tennis Club’s second mixed team maintained their unbeaten run to clinch the Division Three title when they beat Market Harborough Firsts by seven sets to two.
Jess Gadsby and Jack Elliss won a maximum three sets, while Carol Gilchrist and Tom Elliss, and Jo Heggs with Justin Horobin won two sets each for a convincing victory.

* The first mixed team defeated Rothley Ivanhoe with three-set hauls from Charlie Griffin with Tom Rowe, and Di Burdett with Chris Starkey.
The team will need to win their rain-delayed match against Ashby Castle to overtake Carisbrooke and retain their Division One championship.

* The third mixed team had their hopes of clinching the Division Eight title dashed by a 6-3 defeat to nearest challengers Market Bosworth Seconds.
They must now wait for Bosworth to play their rain-delayed match against Sileby to see if they are pipped at the post. Bosworth need to win 7-2 or better to overtake Hamilton.

* The fourth mixed team put in a very good display to beat leaders Blaby Victoria 6-3 to ensure they are not relegated.
Each pair won two sets, but were unable to beat the visitors’ top pair.
