Charlotte Griffin was in sparkling form, winning a maximum four sets with Polly Dolby who was a late replacement.

Jess Gadsby and Jo Heggs rounded off the result with three sets.

* The men’s first team put themselves in an excellent position to win the Group One title with a 7-1 win over Gynsill.

Justin Horobin and Jack Elliss won all four of their sets, and Tom Elliss and Daniel Blackburn won three for a comfortable victory.

* Hamilton’s men’s second team are the only team to round off their season with no matches to re-arrange.

They ended their campaigfn with a 7-1 win against Syston Northfields, but the match was closer than the scoreline suggests.

Jimmi Cox and Joe Jackson won a maximum four sets, three of them won 7-5, while Will Harrison and Barrie Farnsworth won three sets as the team secured a top half finish in Group Four.

* The ladies’ second team lost 7-1 to leaders Charnwood Third and will need to win their remaining matches to avoid relegation.

These should be hard-fought matches against the other two teams trying to remain in Group Four.
