A Melton martial arts club took home a superb hat-trick of trophies from the Tae Kwon-Do English Championships.

The annual event was held at Worcester Arena and attracted more than 1,000 martial artists for a day of action.

Grove School Academy Tae Kwon-Do club entered three black belts, instructor Daniel Pearce, Matthew Keyse and Abigail Goddard.

Pearce, a fifth degree black belt, gained a bronze in the men’s black belt patterns division, while Keyse, a first degree black belt fought throughout the day to beat five opponents and earn gold in the men’s sparring.

Goddard also secured a bronze in the ladies’ black belt sparring.
