It was a busy weekend for the Pork Pie Plodders which began on Saturday as Zenon Kurys travelled to Donington Park to take part in the Winter Warrior 10k obstacle race.

Zenon completed two laps of the punishing course set at the famous racetrack.

On Sunday, a quartet of Plodders braved icy winds, mud and punishing terrain to take part in the Caythororpe Dash.

The challenging undulating half-marathon course, set in the Lincolnshire countryside, took the runners over fields, footpaths, bridleways and tracks.

Storming home first for the Plodders was Gosia Garner who completed the course in 2hr 06min 14secs, followed by Emma Machowska in 2.13.48, Kevin Bindley in 2.37.48 and Gina Bailey (2.49.10).
