A national campaign to encourage more women and girls into sport and physical activity hits Melton with a special week of activities.

Sport England’s This Girl Can campaign is being promoted in the county from Monday to the following Sunday.

During the week there will be a Melton timetable of free or reduced cost activities for all women and girls, ranging from leisure centre activities to football club open days and first aid for horses.

The Melton Sport and Health Alliance team at the borough council have also created a Melton Girls Can video in partnership with REDi Productions to help launch the campaign week, featuring many familiar faces from the community.
