Melton GC juniors John and Connor win captains’ prizes

MELTON Golf Club Juniors played their last competition of the season and still returned excellent scores despite a damp and misty day.

James Parker won with 41 points, well clear of runner-up Will Newton (35pts) and third-placed Ben Tyler (33pts).

Harry Sargood won the nine hole pre-handicap section from Chris Moule in second.

The Captain’s Trophy and the Lady Captain’s trophy, awarded for the best scores over all the competitions during the season, went to John Wallace and Connor Wilson.
