Young brothers join Melton Olympic Cycling Club's reliability trial

Melton Olympic Cycling Club welcomed its youngest-ever riders for their pre-season reliability trial last weekend.

A total of 40 out of 43 starters finished the event, which is designed to be an early indicator of a rider’s fitness for the upcoming road season.

George Gill (7) and his brother Freddie (9) became the youngest riders to take to the start and rewarded with fair weather.

A total of £54.20 was raised from the event which will be donated to Leicestershire and Rutland Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust Nature Reserves.

The club would like to thank Tina and Bill Vetcher, and Lesley Sutherland for organising the event and More Coffee for looking after the shattered riders at the end.
