Wymeswold FC sweep into County Saturday Trophy final
A county cup final awaits a Wymeswold FC after defeating Glenfield Town in the Leicestershire and Rutland FA Saturday Trophy semi-finals last weekend.
Goals from Linford Harris, Danny Hulett and Callum Payne gave the villagers a 3-1 win over the Leicester and District League Division One side on Saturday.
Sporting Markfield and Belton Villa meet in the other semi-final this weekend.
Wymeswold, who are challenging for promotion back to the North Leicestershire league Premier, will meet the winners in the final at the County FA’s Holmes Park headquarters on Thursday, March 23.
