Ollie Burke made a fast start to the new season by scoring in the opening game of the Championship on Saturday.

The Melton footballer, who made his senior international debut for Scotland last season, was named in the starting XI by new Forest boss Philippe Montanier as they beat Burton Albion 4-3 at the City Ground.

With the scores locked at 2-2 at half-time, Burke stroked the ball into the far corner to put the Reds back in front shortly after half-time.

Montanier made nine changes for Forest’s EFL Trophy tie at Doncaster on Tuesday evening, but the 19-year-old kept his place, playing 75 minutes of the 2-1 win at the Keepmoat.
