A goal from former Holwell Sports midfielder Dean Copson kept Wymeswold at the top of the North Leicestershire League Premier on Saturday.
Wymeswold edged past Mountsorrel Amateurs by the single goal to make it five wins from six and maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
On Saturday they host second-bottom Sutton Bonington (kick-off 2pm).
* Bottesford climbed to fifth place in Division One thanks to a 3-0 home win over FC Polonia on Saturday.
Luke Martin, Alex Robinson and Chris Tonge were all on target for the home side who collected only their second clean sheet of the season.
This weekend they visit mid-table rivals FC Coalville.
* In Division One, a Dale Wight hat-trick sank Clawson Kings on their trip to Thringstone MW Reserves.
Martin Maclean replied for Clawson who slipped to eighth and host ninth-placed Ravenstone United on Saturday at the All England Ground in Melton.
* Asfordby Development maintained their unbeaten record in Division Three after sharing eight goals at Measham Welfare Reserves.
Thomas Atherley scored twice for Asfordby, while Jamie Felstead and sub Charlie Richards earned a 4-4 draw which keeps them fourth.
But Wymeswold reserves remained top of the pile after putting eight past Woodhouse Imperial Reserves.
Luke Howitt hit four, while Tom Hulett, Curtis Mildenhall and subs Matthew Garner and Lyon Pownall were also on target in the 8-1 rout.
Bottesford Reserves, meanwhile, came away with a point from their trip to Mountsorrel, with Simon Cripps, Andy Daybell and Thomas Murphy on target in a 3-3 draw.
The top four all meet on Saturday as Wymeswold travel to second-placed Quorn Rangers and Asfordby host fourth-placed Birstall Old Boys (kick-off 2pm).
