The Melton Charity Cup returns this week as two more under 15s teams battle it out in a first round tie.

Mowbray Rangers B team will take on Barrow Town Youth at Holwell Sports FC next Wednesday (kick-off 7.30pm).

Admission is £2 for adults and £1 for both under 18s and OAPs which will be collected for this season’s nominated charities - Melton Mencap, Age Concern (Melton) and Melton Voluntary Action’s gardening scheme.

Rangers B will be hoping to emulate their clubmates Mowbray Rangers A who booked their place in the next round courtesy of a convincing 4-0 win over Quorn Juniors.

It was a good game played in front of a decent crowd despite freezing temperatures, and contained some good goals from the Asfordby Hill side as well as a sterling performance from the Quorn goalkeeper to limit the scoreline.
