Competition chairman Graham Digby handed over cheques for £300 to Melton Mencap, Age UK (Melton) and Melton Voluntary Action’s gardening scheme before the annual meeting.

Thanks went to cup sponsors Graham and Linda Parker, and Gordon Wells, programme advertisers, Melton Mowbray Building Society, and Festival of Football for supplying the trophies for free.

They also thanked Holwell Sports FC for hosting the games, Melton Referees Association for donating most of their match fees and expenses as well as the clubs, players and fans for supporting the competition.

Several businesses also provided prizes for the raffle held on the night of the final - Nicko’s Fish Bar, Off the Beaten Path, and Roger Hodson. Many thanks to the Melton Times for helping to promote the games.
