Bottesford Football Club has launched a buy-a-brick scheme to raise further funds for their new clubhouse.
The club’s plan has been earmarked as a priority project by the FA, Leicestershire FA and the Football Foundation for funding, and the latter body has already committed a large proportion of the capital required.
But Bottesford have been asked to raise £25,000 by the end of the year and are asking supporters and businesses to buy a brick and have their name permanently displayed in the new building.
A personalised supporter brick slip, engraved with the name and message of their choice, costs £50, while the commercial equivalent is £100.
All will be included in a permanent fixture mounted in the entrance hall within the new clubhouse.
A local benefactor has also agreed to match the funds contributed by the brick scheme up to £5,000.
Application forms can be obtained from any club official or downloaded from the club website at www.bottesfordfc.co.uk.
