A scrappy first half saw both teams cancel each other out with chances few and far between.

Ward palmed one Barwell effort round the post, but unfortunately he plays centre-half and was lucky to escape with just a yellow card. But Barwell did go ahead with the resulting penalty.

The half-time team talk certainly worked for Mowbray as they came out and played some expansive football.

It was no surprise when Barker hit a 25-yard free-kick into the roof of the net to level the scores.

Mowbray then got the bit between their teeth, with Finch using his feet like a ballerina to make it 2-1 before Barker’s second strike from outside the box put Rangers in the box seat.

The nimble feet of Finch featured again to add his second and Mowbray’s fourth.

With the hosts now fully in control, their fifth goal was a masterpiece when a cross-field ball found Finch whose first-time cross was met by Hewson to head home and secure the nap hand.

Barker, Finch and Parker were all outstanding throughout and Rangers fully deserved the three points.
