Lisa, sister of Leicestershire county cricketer Ollie, secured a win on her first outing for Somerby-based Gemini Stud riding the full brother to their newly-licensed stallion Classic Opera.

She won her first dressage test at Vale View Equestrian Centre, in Old Dalby, for Gemini Stud where she now rides for the Revells and also with her own string of eventers who she competes up to two star level.

Lisa won with a very impressive score of 72.29 per cent in the early season outing, beating four of advanced eventer Ginnie Turnbull’s horses in her class.

The 26-year-old was second at last year’s Burghley Young Event Horse Final while riding for Preci-Spark Eventings, but since her switch, now has the handy commute to work from one side of Somerby village to the other.

Georgie Revell said: “Lisa is a talented, hard-working jockey who has consistently done well right from Pony Club teams through to her three-day eventing career and deserves every inch of her success.”

Classic Opera, who was unbeaten for the entire year at county level taking Derbyshire and Cheshire championships and the NPS Summer Championships, and qualified for last year’s Horse of the Year Show, has also become a licensed stallion.
