Waldron’s unbeaten 114 and 44 from opener Ben Miles helped the visitors post a commanding 269-4 from their 40 overs.

John Pook hit 63 in Barkby’s reply, while several batsmen made starts, but the hosts couldn’t keep up with the run rate and fell 55 runs short on 214-6.

Queniborough Second XI moved within five points of the leaders after taking maximum points at Bottesford.

In Division Two, the Corbett brothers helped Syston Town record their first win by 79 runs against Rothley Park, Tom hitting 128 and George taking 5 for 43 in the reply.
