Belvoir League: Upper Broughton and Wymeswold chase down targets

Mash Tub batted first against Upper Broughton last Thursday and had good contributions from Gaz Potter (22), C. Parker (12) and Charlie Madden (21) who was run out by a great throw by Gillan.

But Paul Stevenson (4 for 26) slowed things down and despite a superb six from Strachly, Broughton bowlers Shelton and Mooney kept things tight and restricted the Tub to 89-9.

In reply, a fine 36 not out from Richard Randall and unbeaten knock of 14 from James Dickens saw Broughton home by five wickets despite the best efforts of Madden (3 for 14) for the Tub.

Pitman received good support from Dan Barry (18) and Sam Allen (31) as Wymeswold won by seven wickets.
