Great Dalby Primary School played host to Brownlow School in the seventh annual kwik cricket match for the Kuzmicz Shield.

The match is played in memory of Roger Kuzmicz, a villager and parent of former Great Dalby pupils Emily and Matt.

Roger’s wife Sally presented the medals, certificates and, finally, the Shield to Brownlow after the Melton school triumphed on the day by 302 runs to Great Dalby’s 218.

The pupils of the village school walked down to watch the match, played in beautiful sunshine, and were joined on the boundary rope by parents.
