The circular route follows minor roads from the start at Hose Village Hall to Harby, Langar, Colston Basset and Long Clawson.

The race attracts entries from all over the UK with a large proportion of female runners and veterans, and is traditionally held a fortnight before the London Marathon.

Last year’s race was won by Derby AC runner Josh Bull in an impressive 1hr 08min 50secs.

Both races will be timed using the chip-to-chip system, and Belvoir First Aid will be stationed around the course.

All finishers will receive a memento, while prizes will be up for grabs for many categories, including teams, and will be presented at noon.

Refreshments and snacks for visitors and runners will be available at race HQ from 9am, provided by Hose School Parents and Friends Association.

The event is organised by Hose Village Hall to raise funds to improve the social and sporting facilities in the village.
