Entries are flooding in for the popular Belvoir Half Marathon and Fun Run which takes to our country lanes on Sunday, April 12.
The race starts and finishes at Hose Village Hall and follows minor roads across the Vale, taking in Harby, Langar, Colston Bassett and Long Clawson.
It attracts entries from all over the UK, particularly the Leicester, Lincoln, Nottingham, Northampton, Coventry and Derby areas.
Belvoir First Aid will be stationed around the course, and pre and post-race massage will be available. There is ample free parking and chip timing.
Entries by post and online close on March 27, but if the race limit of 700 runners is not exceeded, runners can register on race-day.
All finishers will receive a memento and there are prizes for many categories, including teams, which will be presented at around noon.
The four-and-a-half-mile fun run starts soon after the half-marathon, and there will be a children’s race around the playing field with entries taken on the day.
The event is organised by Hose Village Hall to raise funds for its social and sporting facilities.
Refreshments and snacks will be available for visitors and runners at the village from 9am.
