MONDAY, 4.30pm: Young Leicester Tiger Rickie Aley celebrated his 18th birthday with a mature showing at the Middlesex Sevens at Twickenham on Saturday.
The promising full-back, from Melton, was called into the Tigers sevens squad for the second year running having been a member of the club's vaunted academy for two years.

Opening up against old foes Wasps, Aley put his first points on the board after a try from full England international Tom Croft for a 7-0 lead with a superb drop goal conversion from the touchline.

Wasps levelled before half-time, but Aley burst into the limelight as he restored Tigers' advantage.

Following good work by Croft, skipper George Chuter and Tom Armes, Aley chipped the ball over the defence and gathered the bouncing ball to score before converting his own try.

Wasps hit back, but an extra time score gave Tigers victory.

Tigers were comprehensively outplayed in the quarter-finals by pre-tournament favourites British Army, beaten 31-7, but Aley added two more points, converting Croft's only score of the game.
