THURSDAY, 5pm: Young Assassin fighters are preparing for their next show on Saturday, May 3 with a date at the British Championships.
Assassin Muay Thai Boxing Club's chief instructor Mark Barlow hopes their May show will be bigger and better than the England v Spain show earlier in the year and is currently trying to bring over a team from Holland.

Seven junior Assassins have entered this Saturday's Open British Championships in Birmingham, which Mark is co-promoting.

He brought the championships to Melton last year and they are due back next year.

Kyah Chamberlain (15), Kane Chamberlain (12), Troy Attewell (13), Jack Buckley (12), Aaron Watson (16), Luke Kelly (11) and Thai Barlow (10) are all hoping to make an impact.

Barlow said: "Last year we won two British titles with Iman and Elias Dexter.

"They haven't entered this year because Elias has not trained enough and Iman went on to bigger things. Last year we also had four second places and it would be nice to beat that this year."

Tickets for the Melton show are on sale from IQ Clothing and Nicko's Fish Bar. For details, call (01664) 567491.
