The hosts made a wobbly start, losing Dylan Ross and Tim Hirst early on before Joe Gant and Barry Lecoyte put on a 50 stand for the third wicket.
Lecoyte was caught behind, but Chris Waldron and Gant added another 30 before he played all round a full toss.
Mark Carnell set about some errant bowling with a rapid 43, while Gant held firm throughout the back end of the innings with Lee Freer ensuring Thorpe reached 200 and maximum batting points.
He then dispatched Williamson for 24 in his last over as Gant just failed to get to his century.
Barrow started slowly against tight bowling from Dave Frost and Barry Lecoyte and were soon way behind the required run rate.
Lacking the appetite to mount a serious challenge, the visitors dug in for the draw with opener Smith making just 29 runs from as many overs.
Skipper Ian Hickman then opted for spin and promptly removed Smith with his first ball.
The wickets fell quickly with Lecoyte taking 5 for 38 and Hickman 3 for 10 before Tim Hirst wrapped things up in the 43rd over.
