COTTESMORE AMATEURS COLTS 0 HOLWELL SPORTS 3

The visitors struck after just four minutes when Ash Palfreyman's diagonal pass put Jack Harris away down the right who beat his marker before crossing for Liam Prenderville to convert at the far post.

Cottesmore strung five across midfield to stifle Holwell's attacks.

Ollie Fisher's strike was well held by the Cottesmore keeper, while the hosts' best effort was a shot across Sam Robinson which he spilled, forcing Leon Fray to clear for a corner.

After half-time, Holwell upped the pace with Mark Cowling heading over another Harris cross before Ben Warner's shot was tipped over the bar.

Robinson had to be alert to push a snap shot round the post, and midway through the half Palfreyman's corner wasn't cleared and Harris' shot was deflected over the keeper for 2-0.

Prenderville's shot across goal from Cowling's past beat the keeper, but just squeezed past the post, but Holwell made it three when Palfreyman and Shannon Myring combined to set up Prenderville who ghosted in to meet Myring's driven pass.

A late Cottesmore rally saw two chances wasted by poor finishing.

Man-of-the-match, sponsored by Roger Hodson, was Jack Harris.
