FRIDAY, 1pm: Not even torrential rain dampened the spirits at Stoke Rochford Golf Club on Sunday when Dorne Werner held her Lady Captain's Day.
Almost 40 ladies played in the morning's stableford to raise funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, Dorne's chosen charity for the year.

They were joined by husbands and guests in the afternoon for a mixed greensomes event followed by an evening prize presentation.

Everyone wore something pink in support of Breakthrough Breast Cancer and in the afternoon, any male golfer dressed as a wo-man was permitted to play from the ladies' tees.

Highlights of the day saw Sue Booth knock in a hole-in-one on the par three 118yd seventh hole, while Best Wo-man was Rod Rawson.
Donations and money raised totalled over £650.
