THURSDAY 9.30AM: To celebrate 30 years of motocross events in the Rutland/ Melton/Grantham area Oakham Motocross club is hosting a special event at its popular Sproxton venue on Sunday.
The event has been opened not just to the current 60 racing members, but also those who have ridden over the 30 years and who still have a bike and some enthusiasm and energy left. Among the keenest of these is 70-year-old Frank Hutchison, and David Wescomb, who is dusting off his original race bike, a well tried and tested Maico at about 25 years old.

In the spirit of reunion the club is also hosting a round of the AMCA National over 35 Championship with many of the 32 riders being past masters.

There will be 18 races with additional classes for younger riders as well as a field of Expert riders including some locals.

Racing starts at 10.30am through until about 5.30pm, with entry only £4.
