They took advantage of this with early goals from Thorpe, from a tight angle, and Sharpley's strong shot. Joint man-of-the-match Alfie Brown dominated midfield and the defence, giving Nirvana few chances. Thorpe and Bullimore added two more before half-time.
Nirvana improved after the break, but joint man-of-the-match Edward Birch and his defence stayed strong. It was only when the score had reached 6-0 with strikes from Bullimore and Purkis that the defence was finally beaten for Nirvana's consolation goal.

BIRSTALL UTD 0 WALTHAM 4
WALTHAM began well with Hutton and Bowen's pace causing problems.
It was no surprise when Bowen put Waltham ahead and within minutes, goals from Louis Potts, converting Bowen's great cross, and man-of-the-match Connor Bibby's long-range free kick gave Waltham a comfortable half-time lead.
Just after the break Green's great through ball set Hutton free to extend Waltham's lead with a quality finish. Birstall began to create their own chances, but Jones made several excellent saves.
Good goalkeeping, bad luck and poor finishing denied Waltham, but they remain top for another week.

After half-time, Tigers defended well through man-of-the-match Lee and Cokayne and a super diving header from Ingall.
