Shocks all round in Melton Winter Pool League

TUESDAY, 8.30am: The start of the Melton Pool League's winter campaign brought a record number of entries.
Last year's top three in Division One all lost as Thundercats were beaten 5-4 by MSC A, Matt Moncrieff and Glenn Faulks despite Ash Callis' eight-baller.
Gaz Potter, Jon Taylor and Simon Rowland as Sly Shots beat the Horseshoes 5-4, and Darren Smith, Ben Manship and Josh Holdsworth helped the Fulderiks beat Noels BBs 7-2.
Court by the Fuzz made a winning start back in the big league, Lewis Field starring in a 5-4 win against Brick a Branch.
Love Ya Swan Time also enjoyed their first taste of the top flight as Johnny Wydra's eight-baller inspired a 6-3 defeat of Leisure Pool.
Steff Dutton, Steve Moore, Oliver Davies and Dave Enright all won twice as the Wellbees beat Treemendus 7-2.
*Crazy Gang made the best start in Division Two, Ant Dibble, Graham Williams and Steve Stone inspiring a 6-3 win against Granby B.
Steve Green and Chris Barnes starred in Gang Crazy's 5-4 victory over GB 69ers, and Alan, Dave and Brian Hughes helped the Welby edge Boys and Their Toys 5-4.
Martin Glover and Steve Davies steered Little Briton to a 5-4 win at Phoenix Knights, while Terry Overton and Jason Wippich won the decider for the Conkerers against Ingalls Idiots.
*Legion B, aiming for a quick return to Division Two, opened with an 8-1 thrashing of Cat Attack, but it was 5-4 results all the way elsewhere.
Mick Plowman and Will Sneath took the decider in Quack Pots' victory over Moon Rockets, and Penfold teamed up with Ben Foster to win the decider for Toys 'R' Us against Half Cut.
Steve Lang, Andy Palmer and Frank Niewiadomski guided Sonias's Sharks to success over Legion A.
Mike Thorpe starred for Two Out of Three as they edged out Thanks 4 Coming, Get Over it, and Pete Davies helped Timmy and His Magic Stick to beat Burton St Preachers.
*In Division Four, Adam Anderson, James White, Paul Spooner and Aaron Baxter helped Royale Poke make a winning debut against TIB Cats 7-2, and Kirsty Brown, Wayne Morton and Richard McCalman did likewise in Rutland Rejects' 6-3 win against Swan More Go.
The Crown beat neighbours Blue Bell Losers 5-4, while Tracey Bishop set up Swanning Along's 5-4 win over Fur Fox Sake.
Mark Wardle led MSC B to a 6-3 win against a depleted Vikki's Fox, and Granby Rejects claimed a walkover against the Golf Club.
