FRIDAY, 9.50am: Northampton Saints wing Sean Lamont has been named in a 33-man Scotland squad for the 2009 RBS Six Nations.
The former Belvoir High School and King Edward VII School pupil, who first took up the game at Melton RFC, missed Scotland's entire 2008 Six Nations campaign with a bad knee injury.

But the 28-year-old, who has 35 Scotland caps, made his return for the Autumn internationals last November after a year on the sidelines and will join the squad on Monday for a three-day training camp with coach Frank Hadden.

A notable absentee is the younger Lamont brother Rory, who was ruled out for the entire Six Nations after picking up ankle ligament damage playing for Sale Sharks in a December Heineken Cup tie.

Scotland open against current champions and Grand Slammers Wales on Sunday, February 8 at Murrayfield.
