THURSDAY, 4pm: Former Melton RFC youth player Sean Lamont has been dropped from Scotland's squad to face France on Saturday.
The Northampton Saints wing does not even figure in the 22 as coach Frank Hadden made five changes to the team which lost to Wales on Sunday.
Lamont, who was Scotland's player of the year in 2007 and has 35 caps, makes way for Thom Evans in the backs for the trip to Paris.
The decision follows criticism that neither Thom nor brother Max Evans were included in the starting XV last Sunday which was seen as an overly cautious and defensive strategy at Murrayfield.
Up front Alasdair Dickinson makes his first Six Nations start, replacing the injured Geoff Cross at tight-head prop, while his Gloucester team-mate Alasdair Strokosch is preferred to Allister Hogg at blindside flanker.
Hadden said: "We all know that the supporters demand and deserve better than the performance against Wales and they are determined to do that against France.
"I'm happy with the quality of the side who are very aware of the need to perform better given the tough challenge that's facing us on Saturday."
The match kicks off at the Stade de France at 3pm.
