SLIDESHOW MONDAY 1.30PM: Melton's Strongest Man competition in Play Close on Saturday attracted seven competitors and a good turnout of spectators despite the poor weather.
Organised by Melton's Jason Talbot, events included a 220kg deadlift, a log press of ranging weights, an axe hold of 13kg in each hand and an atlas stone lift.
In a really close contest, winner was Jason Charnley, from Preston, with second and thrid places going to Melton locals Roy Murray and Peter Wakefield.
