SATURDAY, 11am: Foxes grabbed two more vital points in a match they dominated, creating and missing many chances.
Leics Under 14s Division Two
MELTON FOXES 1 KIBWORTH AND SMEETON 0

Pope, Sharples and Archer all went close in the first 10 minutes, but they had to wait until midway through the half when Pope drove home after good work by Sharples and Archer.

Kibworth's keeper's long kicks posed problems for Foxes' defence after half-time, but Jones, Gackowski and Hall rose to the challenge. More chances went begging for Foxes, but they kept the clean sheet which ensured they took the points.

Foxes: J. Picker, S. Gackowski, C. Power, C. Hall, T. Jones, J. Knatt, J. Sharples, T. Pope, C. Allen, A. Austin, G. Archer, G. Woodall, T. Jinks, J. Power.

MOWBRAY RANGERS 0 AYLESTONE 3

AN entertaining game saw hard-working Rangers produce a fine display, despite the scoreline, against excellent opponents.

An even first half saw both teams create half-chances and Aylestone take the lead when a bouncing ball in the box and a mis-hit shot found Rangers' net. Mowbray pressed forward, but with chances limited they were still behind at the break.

Aylestone pressured Rangers after the break and added a second 10 minutes in. Rangers showed great spirit to pick themselves up and make Aylestone work hard to keep their lead.

The game was in the balance until the last 10 minutes when Aylestone put the result beyond doubt with the third. With good displays from every Rangers player, there was no shame in this defeat.

Rangers: S. Alcott, O. Wallis, J. Mason, M. Coutts, A. Hawkins, C. Payne, T. Uttley, O. Fisher, S. Hollis, K. Taylor, D. Street, A. Fontoura.

ASFORDBY AMATEURS 0 ST ANDREW'S 3

DESPITE the score, the performance put up by Asfordby was commendable with all departments working hard.

The visitors netted first after a cross was uncharacteristically spilled by Sam Mayfield gifting a tap-in. The rest of the first half was even with both sides generating good attacks and defending well.

On 37 minutes, Matt Porter's header was cleared off the line and five minutes later Jack Forfar recovered to save a certain goal, while on 53 minutes Patrick Reading hit the bar from 25 yards.

Chasing an equaliser, Josh Baker failed to convert from Reading's accurate cross, and with nothing to lose, their big push forward handed Saints two more goals on 75 and 77 minutes. Man-of-the-match: Ollie Heaver.

Amateurs: S. Mayfield, B. Catlin, P. Reading, W. Wells (c), O. Heaver, J. Forfar, T. Wheeler, J. Porter, M. Porter, J. Baker, J. Linnet, R. Jones, M. Houghton.

ASFORDBY AMATEURS 3 BEDWORTH EAGLES 2

ASFORDBY toppled third-placed Bedworth, edging a five-goal encounter.

Bethany Dexter found Lauren Smith who made it 1-0 before Bedworth equalised.

Defenders Amy Green, Fiona Donachie and Charlie Proudman did well, as did midfielder Jade Heeley, with Green's great ball setting up Smith to score her second.

Bedworth breached Asfordby's defence just before half-time to equalise again.

Asfordby kept on top of their game, Hannah Pattison firing crosses in and unlucky not to score, while Hannah Burgon had a great game alongside Smith up front.

Bedworth were strong, but could not stop Smith completing her hat-trick and victory.

ASFORDBY AMATEURS 4 OADBY/WIGSTON DYNAMOS 0
ASFORDBY only had eight players, but opened the scoring when Hannah Pattison crossed for Hannah Burgon to set up Lauren Smith to score.

Pattison's throw-in allowed Bethany Dexter to beat two players for 2-0, while defenders Charlie Proudman, Amy Green and Fiona Donachie kept Oadby out.

Jessica Baker came on for Amy Green before Pattison sent a great free-kick across for Lauren Smith to score. Smith's pass found Pattison to complete the scoring and leave Asfordby to finish the season in fifth in the league.

Amateurs: H. Pattison, L. Smith, A. Green, B. Dexter, J. Heeley, F. Donachie, C. Proudman, H. Burgon, J. Baker.

ASFORDBY GEMS 2 WESTFIELD WANDERERS 0

IN their last match as a seven-a-side team, Gems were on top from the start.

Constant pressure from forwards Paige Wall-Martin, Amy Billington and Lauren Sampson finally paid off when Sampson scored, after a good move involving Shannon Robson.

After half-time, good performances from Paige Beeson-Markley, Abby Spencer and Sabrina Carter kept Westfield out, and while numerous corners lacked the finishing touch, the second goal again came from Sampson's deadly left foot.

Keeper Victoria Hart's point-blank save ensured a clean sheet, giving a final well-deserved victory.

Gems: L. Sampson, A. Billington, A. Spencer, P. Nall-Martin, P. Beeson-Markley, S. Carter, S. Robson, V. Hart, E. Lakey.
