Melton Hockey Club to host county championships
SATURDAY, noon: Melton Hockey Club have been picked out to host a prestigious tournament later this month.
Their home at King Edward VII School Sports Centre in Burton Road has been chosen by England Hockey to host a pool of this year's County Championships.
Melton will stage Pool One of the championships featuring the hosts Leics and Rutland, Bedfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Sussex on Saturday and Sunday, May 10 and 11.
Timetable of matches:–
Saturday – 10.30am Bedfordshire v Leics and Rutland; noon Sussex v Suffolk; 1.30pm Norfolk v Bedfordshire; 3pm Suffolk v Leics and Rutland; 4.30pm Norfolk v Sussex.
Sunday – 9.30am Suffolk v Bedfordshire; 11am Leics and Rutland v Norfolk; 12.30pm Bedfordshire v Sussex 2pm Norfolk v Suffolk; 3.30pm Sussex v Leics and Rutland.
