SUNDAY, 4pm: Melton table tennis player Jeffrey Jarvis competed for the first time in 2008 at the Special Olympic National Table Tennis Competition in Crewe.
The competition attracted the biggest entry to date with more than 90 players coming from all over England.

Jeffrey and doubles partner Adam Thompson, from Manchester, easily won gold in the men's doubles.

In the mixed doubles Jeffrey had a new partner, Jessica Bromley from Wolverhampton.

They played well together and came away with the bronze medal. He also won bronze in the singles, with Adam, as usual, taking the gold.
