FRIDAY, 9am: Reigning league champions Holwell Sports Youth's 6-2 win lifted them back to the top-of-the-table.
Midweek Youth League South
HOLWELL SPORTS 6 HARBOROUGH TOWN 2

Holwell took an early lead through Tinsley's audacious 25-yard lob. It was soon 2-0 when Cowling turned two defenders and steered a low shot past keeper Hives.

Maycock made two fine saves, first full-length to deny Ingram then reacting sharply to turn McInnes' flick round for a corner. The lively Packwood embarrassed Hives with a sublime chip over his head from the left wing.

Harborough reduced the deficit when McInnes turned Forfar and finished powerfully and on half-time Wright turned in a near post flick from Peel's free-kick.

Holwell, with Watson enjoying a strong debut at the heart of defence, settled when Cowling slammed home a loose ball and Foster turned in Keightley's cross at the far post.

Dexter capped his impressive display with a superb 30-yard strike into the top corner. A solid second half sets Holwell up for tough tests against Oadby Town and Birstall.

Man-of-the-match, sponsored by Roger Hodson, was Mark Cowling.

Holwell: H. Maycock, K. Foster, C. Watson, H. Forfar, B. Jarvis, W. Keightley, C. Packwood, D. Radford, C. Dexter, M. Tinsley, M. Cowling, J. Harris, M. Donnolley, J. Woodall, N. Clare.
