FRIDAY NOON: Hamilton Tennis Club junior Helen Thorpe continued her successful year by winning a hat-trick of titles at the County Junior Championships.
Thorpe first took the 16 and under singles with a convincing 6-4, 6-3 win over Emily Egan-Morris, before defeating number one seed Rebecca Scrivens in a tightly-fought three-set 18 and under final.

The Hamilton junior then teamed up with brother Peter to take the 18 and under mixed title with a straight sets win over Connor Glennon and Emelia Bakewell.

Thorpe just missed out on her fourth title when she and Gina Kothari went down in straight sets to Rebecca Scrivens and Katie Boulter in the 18 and under doubles.

Ryan Parmar added another title to the club's tally when he teamed up with Chris Egan-Morris to take the 12 and under doubles in two straight sets.

Parmar also earlier contested the 12 and under singles but went down to his doubles partner in two straight sets.

Charlotte Griffin also performed well making both the semi-finals of the 16 and under and the 18 and under singles, while Beth Lowe reached the semi-finals of the 14 and under and the quarter-finals of the 16 and under singles.
