THURSDAY, 5.30pm: Five goals in a great second half fightback earned Mowbray Rangers Under 11s a dramatic victory.

Rangers trailed within three minutes and an unchallenged header made it 2-0 on 13 minutes.

Defenders Hill and Ben Wilkinson were busy and Thorn made some great stops. Howard's goalbound free-kick was saved on the line and Walker hit the post with the rebound.

Soon after Mayes' shot was parried straight to Skerritt who missed with the goal begging.

At half-time, Rangers re-shuffled and looked more threatening. George Wilkinson put Mayes through to score and after a series of corners, Mayes equalised.

George Wilkinson put Rangers ahead after a goalmouth scramble from Mogg's corner. Cragg's penalty was saved before Mayes completed his hat-trick with a flicked header. Howard put Cragg through to complete the scoring.

LEICESTER NIRVANA 1 MELTON FOXES 1
FOXES began tenaciously and earned early corners to heap pressure on Leicester.

Defender Hamer-Robson boosted his impressive goal tally with a piledriver, but Nirvana scrambled the equaliser after a rare break. Horobin's great vision set up Carroll who was unlucky.

Wait excelled in defence and Archer stood up to strong challenges, playing a superb ball to Ainge who went close. Birkinshaw had chances before Nirvana were given a penalty for an innocuous challenge.

Karma was restored as the man-of-the-match Hourd dived to his left and saved.

Birkinshaw's in-swinger just went beyond sub McDonald's boot at the death.

ASFORDBY OSPREYS 5 QUORN TERRIERS 0
OSPREYS finally broke their duck and won their first-ever home game.

Morgan Hill converted a corner from close range to put Asfordby ahead, but several chances came and went as Quorn defended well. Quorn came close, denied by Zachary Jolliffe's fine keeping.

Ospreys stepped up a gear and top scorer Joseph Osborne doubled the score. Man-of-the-match Reece Stitson fired number three into the right hand corner.

After half-time Quorn tried hard to come back, but Joliffe was keen to keep a clean sheet. Stitson got his second after great play, and before long great midfield work from Ryan Eldridge set up Osborne again who finished coolly.

AN attack from kick-off saw Asfordby fall behind despite keeper Bullimore's save.

Asfordby picked up their game and took control. Oates beat two player, but his shot was saved, while good link-up play by Brown, Oates and Sharp created chances.

Eagles started the second half well. Phillips ran into the box and forced a save and Sharp had chances to put the game to bed.
Asfordby levelled when Bunn stepped up and swung a well-taken free kick into the top corner from near the halfway line.

Asfordby pressed with confidence, but Quorn counter-attacked with good passing which left man-of-the-match Bullimore exposed for the winner.

MELTON FOXES 3 GROBY JUNIORS 3
FOXES started brightly creating several chances and were unlucky to fall behind early on.

Melton were level when Jack Close's fine corner was turned in for an own goal.

Foxes took the initiative and led when another corner was converted by Kieran White's spectacular volley.

Groby pressured and scored two quick goals before half-time.

Man-of-the-match Kyle Reek worked fantastically down the right and made some great tackles and well-timed runs. Close equalised superbly from inside his own half and Foxes held on through a nervy last five minutes.

QUORN HOUNDS 2 MELTON FOXES CUBS 6
A SLOW saw Cubs fall behind in the second minute.

But Alex Henfrey created a chance for Jack Alexander to blast the equaliser three minutes later.

Henfrey put Foxes ahead before keeper Charlie Smith's excellent dive preserved the lead. A mistake gifted Rory Geraghty possession to blast in from 20 yards.

Skipper Charlie Kay netted and Noah Bignell added the fifth minutes after coming on. Quorn could not get past defenders Adam Ward and Adam Posey, but Smith made another fingertip save after half-time before Quorn pulled one back.

Josh Keightley restored the margin, while Joel Batchelor and Adam Ward repelled any danger in an excellent team display.
