Bristow, famously nicknamed the Crafty Cockney during his playing days, played 11 exhibition games against local players and won nine of those games.

But he was well beaten by the Cherry Tree's Darren Tyler who hit three 140s on his way to victory.

Several players also had their chances of winning, but could not hit the vital winning double.

The league would like to thank all those who supported the event, especially Dave Pearson, of the Half Moon, who bid £105 to play against Bristow.

The evening also included presentation of prizes.
