SATURDAY, 11am: The Eliteless claimed their first win of the season at the Blazing Saddles, Twyford to open a 10-point gap between them and the Division Two basement.
Eliteless raced 4-2 ahead at the singles. G. Seymour reduced the deficit to one, but N. and S. Gregory, S. Walling, J. Hendy and M. Hubbard guided the visitors to a handsome 9-3 win.

Stute Wanabees continued their unbeaten run against the Anchor B
lue and led 4-2 at the singles. D. Batsford, A. Ruddle, S. Packwood, I. Welbourne and J. Taylor swept through to earn a 9-3 win.

The Wanabees went joint top with Blue Bell Foxes who took a 5-1 lead against Anchor Black. P. James, J. Crighton, D. Walker, K. Sharpe and P. Tierney maintained their 100 per cent run by sealing a 10-2 hiding.

Sugar Loaf A and Crown Jewels met in differing form with the Loaf taking a 4-2 lead at the singles. A see-saw battle ensued as J. Vanham, T. Greasley and J. Challis scored for the Loaf and P. Williams, J. Barnacle and W. Robinson for the Crown as Loaf won 7-5.

Crown Rif Raf's poor form continued, dropping to sixth with a draw against How Now Brown Crown who led 4-2 at the singles. But Rif Raf's T. Parson, R. Winter, C. Guthrie and N. Close earned a stalemate, G. Wardle and S. Mooney the Crown's singles winners.

Shoes D won their first match against winless Black Horse. S. Hornbuckle's fine 180 couldn't inspire his team as M. Brightwell, D. Clements, G. Taylor and P. Hall wrapped up a well-deserved 7-5 win.

Blue Bell, Hoby also won their first game, beating Crown X 8-4 at home. They raced 5-1 ahead, only L. Price and D. Pick stopping a whitewash.

The Crown fared better in the singles through M. Sanders, G. Canham and captain Price, but P. Bridges, B. Souter and J. Earl earned the Hoby team their elusive first win.

Asfordby Amateurs couldn't halt leaders' Crown Y as they went down 9-3, J. Gallagher and V. Whitfield their only winners.

Shoes Tucks slipped up against fellow title challengers King's Arms who led 4-2 after the team games.

The lead proved decisive as the singles were shared between the King's Arm's N. Underwood, P. Kesterton and S. Fraser and Shoes' A. Tymanskyj and M. and N. Fox to earn them a 7-5 win.

Third and fourth-placed Half Crown TS and the Sugar Loafers fought a close encounter which the TS edged 7-5.

The Crown edged the Loafers in the team games ahead of an even singles battle with P. Perfect, S. Garside and T. Gant carrying the Crown home.
